Stuff I've been listening to recently (to reply to a question from Pixieguts). Not all leftfield or homemade, but they are lesser-known at least for signed artists.

Experimental shoegaze- really deep surreally interesting stuff-
A Sunny Day In Glasgow

A Shoreline Dream is also good, but much less experimental.

Electronica-tinged melodic post-rock ambient Lights Out Asia
